Politics: Find Out Who Fits the Bill

It just occurred to me that we were talking about politics the other day and the candidates running for President in this next election.

A wonderful friend sent me a 10 question survey that told me who I would best be suited to vote for. Of coarse this does not mean this is who you should vote for, we all have minds of our own. I just thought it was interesting. Plus, all candidates views are listed along with links to their homepages. For me it is great because I get lost in the clutter and noise of politics.

Rainy Day

It is a rainy day and I am on break.

The blog starts here.

Well this is my first, and most likely only, blog. The only time I have ever used a blog in the past was to see what my friends in grade school were doing or saying about me behind my back. It was more like a gossip spot.

Speaking of gossip, it reminds me of the paper assigned in my web writing class. I argued there were two types of social isolationism- environmental and ostracizing social isolationism. Ostracizing isolationism is when people have specifically told you you are odd person out. Environmental is when there are certain elements of the general atmosphere that tell you are not welcome. Either way you feel alone and neglected. It is such a terrible way to feel, yet so many of us do it. For these reasons, I also noted that I felt like I was back at the high school lunch table. I think it is crazy that we lower our standards just to fit in or try to comply to a social norms.
